On Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 12:00 PM, Josh Cohen was joined by over 50 friends, family members, and community leaders at the Roxborough Memorial Hospital as he announced his candidacy for State Representative in the 194th legislative district.  Check out clips from his announcement speech below.

1. Announcement 

"My name is Josh Cohen and today I am formally announcing my candidacy for State Representative in Pennsylvania's 194th legislative district."

2. Public Servant, Not a Politician

"I have always been, and always will be a public servant and not a politician." Josh outlines his proven record of service and makes a commitment to the constituents of the 194th district.

3. Josh's Legislative Priorities

Josh outlines his legislative priorities including improving the motor vehicle code, making easier for people to obtain vacant properties, supporting same sex marriage, improving election code, advocating for child welfare issues, and fighting for sensible gun control laws.

4. An Independent Voice

"If I am elected, I will not be beholden to the political machine. I will be an independent voice, and will always vote in the best interest of my constituents. I will always listen to both sides of the debate. I have the even keeled temperament necessary to hold elective office and will do so with fidelity."

5. Community Leader Support

Leaders from throughout the district attended the announcement to support Josh's candidacy.
